It started with the things others overlook
As a kid I was constantly drawing and noticing things that escaped everyone else. I sketched the world outside and the one being born in my head. But my real passion for photography caught me by the water, when as an angler I needed some way to document our catches.
Yes, my archive contains a decent number of those slightly bizarre and funny „man proudly holding a fish" photos. But that's exactly where it all began. Soon I became more interested in the atmosphere around it than in the fish itself: the raw aesthetic of the gear, the moments of absolute silence, morning coffee by the water and genuine friendship in the middle of nature.
The journey towards light
Later it pulled me further out into the world. I started travelling, hunting light at lookouts during sunrises and sunsets, and worked out what I want from a photograph. Sterile beauty bores me. I want a story. I want images that awaken your curiosity, whether I'm shooting business portraits, glamour and beauty portraits or a wedding reportage.
Phones aren't ruining photography — quite the opposite
These days everyone takes photos with their phone, and I sometimes hear that this degrades photography. In my view it's exactly the opposite. Because absolutely anyone can try it today, people are starting to realise just how hard it is to take a good photograph.
So the mobile boom doesn't take value away from professional photography — on the contrary, it shows people that a good eye, patience and a feel for light can't be replaced by a single tap on a screen.
Five specialisations, one visual signature
I work across six specialisations: weddings, fashion, business portraits, hospitality, glamour and events. Each field has its own specifics, but they share a common visual language — clean form, authentic emotion, timeless processing.
